Stella was rescued during a winter storm in VA when she was pregnant and homeless. She was brought to the Rockbridge Animal Shelter in Lexington, VA. They contacted us asking if we had room and she was transported up along with her 4 newborn pups in early February. Stella is now ready to go to her forever home. We really aren't sure of her breed mix. Some say Italian Greyhound, others say Feist while others say Rat Terrier. What we can tell you is she is a very sweet girl. She is houestrained and does very well with other dogs and walking on a leash. She was at first very hand shy but is quickly realizing that hands are for petting and not hurting. Because she had puppies in February she cannot be spayed until May. Her spaying is being covered by Lost and Found Dog Rescue "De-sex in the City" altering program. All of our adoptables have been examined by a vet, up to date on shots, monthly heartworm and flea control and have been given age appropriate lab tests (heartworm, lyme).
