Meet Poppy and Lilac! These two sweet guinea pigs were surrendered to DPR when their owner could no longer care for them. Poppy is a large, neutered male piggie and Lilac is a petite little girl, but these two are fully bonded and love each other so much. If they are separated, she will stop eating or drinking - so this husband/wife must be adopted together! You can often find them cuddled together in their house. They love to eat (especially Poppy!) and get so excited with it is time for their fresh salads and squeal in anticipation. Once Lilac settles in, she'll get the zoomies all the time. Poppy is such a sweet boy and once out of his cage he'll either snuggle into your arms or he'll roam about exploring whatever space you give him, he's such a loveable boy.

All our guinea pigs see the vet for a wellness visit and nail trim  prior to adoption. 

Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!

*Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up "curb side". Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
